Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables.
Required Skills:
• Experience with coding Python and Visual Basicfor applications
• Strong experience in applying RF theoretical and academic knowledge in EMI testing unintended emissions within HF, VHF, and UHF spectrum
• Familiar with RF tools (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and components (amplifiers, filters, isolators, attenuators, terminators, etc)
• Formulating and documenting test plans
• Draft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reports
• Specify and/or review system and component technical performance requirements to ensure optimal functionality while meeting E3 noise electric field limit.
• Collaborate internal and external agency stakeholders to ensure technical support enables the E3 Program and customer mission requirements
• Must be able to travel 3 times per year for 7-10 days at a time
Desired skills:
Preferred but not required to have experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing, electromagnetic interference mitigation, and /or antenna calibration.
