System Engineer

Annapolis Junction, MD

Job Description: 
The SE will perform end to end management of a disconnected network enclave for the team including network engineering, Linux system administration, technical implementation of STE/STN requirements, IAVA patching, and system security plan (SSP) accreditation processes. 

 
Required Skills:
In order to be successful in this role, the contractor must have experience in the following:

  • (U) Linux automation, setup, hardening, to include meeting CS2/STIG and STE requirements
  • (U) Scripting ability
  • (U) Familiarity with customers Information Systems (IS) accreditation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, as well as familiarity with STE/STN requirements and policy
  • (U) Configure and optimized restricted networks to connect various front and back-end components
  • (U) Experience managing, configuring, patching network devices (switches, firewalls, VTC, router) and infrastructure, Cisco preferred


Desired Skills:
(U) Elastisearch management

(U) Graylog (preferred) or Splunk configuration, design and implementation experience
(U) Ansible system management (Windows, Linux, and Cisco)
(U) Nagios, Zabibix, Grafana or other FOSS system monitoring design and implementation
