-Identifying vulnerability of and attacks to cryptographic algorithms, functions, products, applications, and systems, characterizing those attacks with respect to the resources and capabilities required to accomplish those attacks, and relating those vulnerabilities and attacks to their effects on the operations and missions supported by these systems. Comparing and contrasting various cryptographic attack techniques and developing operationally effective countermeasures. Providing formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives of actual and potential attacks against the systems, technologies, applications, operations, or missions being studied.
